Orangewood Invests in Life Sciences Staffing Company

Private investment firm Orangewood Partners announced its investment in global recruitment firm Barrington James, according to a press release. Barrington James services the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries with its talent placement solutions for permanent and temporary staffing. The investment form Orangewood will fuel growth for the business through enhances global recruiting solutions, expanded client service capabilities, and technology development.

“All of the whole of the life science and biotech sectors are poised for significant long-term growth, and competition for top talent in virtually every position is continuing to intensify,” stated Orangewood managing partner Neil Goldfarb in a statement.

Trinity Hunt PortCo Aperture Acquires Accident Forensics Business

Aperture, LLC, a portfolio company of private equity firm Trinity Hunt Partners, announced its acquisition of CAC Forensics, a business that provides accident reconstruction and digital forensic engineering solutions. Aperture offers forensic engineering services across premises liability, workplace safety, accident reconstruction and more. In a statement, Aperture president and CEO Robert E. Joyce, Jr. pointed to CAC’s “subject matter expertise, market-leading service capabilities, and electronic component testing lab” as characteristics that help expand the Aperture platform and its existing offering.

Acorn Growth Rebrands Merged Aerospace Businesses

Acorn Growth Companies, a middle-market private equity firm targeting the aerospace and defense arena, has rebranded two A&D businesses it acquired and merged last July. A press release revealed the merged entity is now named Sentry Aerospares, the result of the combination of Aerospares 2000 Limited and Sentry Aerospace. Sentry Aerospace distributes commercial aircraft rotable components, managing an inventory of factory new and used serviceable material.
