Callobre Joins Blank Rome as Finance Partner

Anthony (“Tony”) R. Callobre has joined Blank Rome as a partner in its finance, restructuring and bankruptcy practice group and financial services industry group in the law firm’s Los Angeles office. Callobre will represent lenders and borrowers in commercial loan transactions, with a particular focus on asset-based lending and fund finance. Prior to joining Blank Rome, he served as a shareholder at Buchalter Nemer and was a partner at Bingham McCutchen.

Blue Point Promotes Three Senior Investment Professionals

Blue Point Capital Partners announced a trio of promotions in its investment team: Jonathan Pressnell to partner, Evan Cottington to vice president and Bobby Grebenc to senior associate. Pressnell has 12 years of investing experience, nine of which have been at Blue Point, where he supported deal sourcing, execution and value creation at several of the Cleveland-based firm’s portfolio companies. Cottington has been in private equity since 2015 and with the firm since 2017, where he focuses on deal execution and portfolio management. Grebenc has been with Blue Point since 2017 and has focused on deal evaluation, analysis and execution.

RubinBrown Names McCormack to Partner

Accounting and business consultancy RubinBrown has promoted Tim McCormack to partner in the Business Advisory Services Group. McCormack boasts more than a decade of providing transaction due diligence assistance to clients in the technology, manufacturing and distribution, services, hospitality, private equity and health care industries. Working in RubinBrown’s Denver office, he focuses on middle- and lower-middle market transactions.

Rowland and Ruppert Join Arnold & Porter’s Corporate & Finance Practice

Denver-based Arnold & Porter hired Michele Rowland and John Ruppert to serve on the law firm’s corporate and finance practice. Working together for more than a decade at Ballard Spahr LLP, Rowland and Ruppert will focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial finance transactions, restructurings and reorganizations, and general corporate matters. Rowland represents middle-market companies in a variety of transactions and strategies, including stock and asset sales, leveraged buyouts, auction sales, strategic add-on acquisitions and more. Ruppert focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate and commercial finance, and represents private equity funds and portfolio companies in a variety of industries.

Scott Named New Partner at Bailey Southwell

Bailey Southwell, a Nashville-based health care and tech-enabled services investment bank, named Stephen Scott as partner. Scott has led the firm’s health care services practice, including physician practices, behavioral health care, and facilities and alternate sites. He has nearly 25 years of health care and middle-market investment banking experience and has been involved in deals worth over $3 billion in transaction value. In addition, the firm announced the promotions of Chris Russell and Dan Ward from associate to vice president. Over the past four years, Russell has served on M&A transactions within the health care technology, health care services, and payor services sectors. Before joining Bailey Southwell in 2016, he was a manager in PricewaterhouseCoopers’s financial due diligence practice. Before joining Bailey Southwell, Ward was a portfolio administrator at South Texas Money Management, a regional asset manager with $3 billion in assets under management.

RSM Names Walker National Leader of Culture, Diversity and Inclusion

Audit, tax and consulting services firm RSM US has named Tracey Walker its national leader of culture, diversity and inclusion. Her role begins May 1, 2021 and she succeeds Rich Caturano, former chairman of the AICPA and founder of RSM’s CDI program. Walker will be responsible for RSM’s overall CDI strategy, including its 12 employee network groups. She will oversee the firm’s activities to recruit, retain and advance diverse professionals in partnership with RSM’s talent organization, its supplier diversity initiatives and its ongoing commitment to inclusion. Prior to her CDI role, Walker served as a leader in the firm’s government practice specializing in government transformation and performance.
