On the Move: May 2026 Hires and Promotions
A look at newly hired or promoted professionals across private equity firms, investment banks, and other middle-market M&A dealmakers and their partners
Kainos Capital: Cate Mason
Cate Mason has been promoted to director of investor relations at middle-market private equity firm Kainos Capital, a press release said in May. Kainos, which focuses on products and services companies across the food and everyday essentials markets, said Mason was promoted from her previous role as senior associate. She holds five years of investment banking experience. Prior to joining Kainos in 2023, Mason was an analyst within Lazard’s Power, Energy, and Infrastructure Group, where she focused on M&A advisory services, capital raises, and restructuring.

BGL: Brian Thom
Independent investment bank and financial advisory firm Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (BGL) announced in May that Brian Thom has joined the firm’s Technology investment banking vertical as a managing director. In the role, Thom will lead BGL’s investment banking activity within the infrastructure software and cybersecurity spaces, with a particular focus on the space’s intersection with artificial intelligence. Bringing more than 20 years of investment banking and related financial advisory experience to BGL, Thom comes to the firm from Jefferies, where he focused on strategic advisory and capital-raising transactions.
Polsinelli: Jon Beeman
Law firm Polsinelli has expanded its private equity M&A practice with the hiring of Jon Beeman as a shareholder within its Kansas City office. In an announcement last month, Polsinelli said the addition strengthens its capabilities within private equity-backed transactions, particularly in the healthcare space. Beeman’s experience spans M&A, corporate finance, and general corporate matters, with specialization in advising providers, physician groups, and other healthcare organizations. In a statement, Polsinelli Private Equity Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Chair Frank Koranda said the addition of Beeman comes amid “continued demand from private equity sponsors.”

Arkadios Capital: Chrisopher D. Camp
Arkadios Capital, an independent broker dealer and RIA, announced Christopher D. Camp has been named its newest chief financial officer. He comes to the firm bringing nearly 20 years of experience in finance, compliance, and operational functions across financial and professional services organizations, including private equity-sponsored companies. He joins the firm from Miles Mediation and Arbitration, where he served as CFO and led an expansion at the firm that included several acquisitions.
SRS Acquiom: Sallie Krawcheck and Philip Vasan
SRS Acquiom, a professional services firm facilitating complex administrative workflows for M&A transactions, has named Sallie Krawcheck and Philip Vasan to its board of directors. Both are financial services professionals bringing extensive experience across public and private markets and complex transaction environments, a press release said.
Krawcheck is cofounder and former CEO of Ellevest, and is former CEO of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Vasan most recently served as a managing director at BlackRock. In a statement, SRS Acquiom CEO Paul Koenig said the two additions “will support our continued growth and commitment to delivering best-in-class service to our M&A and loan agency clients.”

Vistina: Jeanine Arnold
Investment bank Vistina, which specializes in strategic advisory, structured credit, and asset-based financing, announced in May that Jeanine Arnold has joined the firm as senior managing director and head of ratings advisory. Vistina, a subsidiary of Hoplon Capital, noted in its announcement that this is a newly created role, and Arnold’s addition will build out its independent ratings advisory capabilities. She brings more than two decades of ratings and credit experience to the firm, most recently serving as global co-head and head of EMEA Leveraged Finance at Moody’s.
Transom Capital Group: Jeff Haight
Transom Capital Group, a private equity firm, announced Jeff Haight has been hired as an operating partner and member of its Operations Team. The role will see Haight oversee value creation initiatives across select portfolio companies. Haight is the former CEO of Locana, a former Transom portfolio company. During his time in the position, Haight oversaw the company’s expansion until exit to TRC in 2024. In its announcement, Transom noted that the Operations Team coordinates closely with management teams as well as Transom’s Mergers & Acquisitions function.
