Dealmakers Do Good: How Local ACG Chapters Give Back
A look at recent and upcoming philanthropic initiatives by ACG chapters around the U.S.
ACG Detroit
2025 Kimble Bells
ACG Detroit held its annual Kimble Bells event on Dec. 10, 2025 at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, MI. The annual networking and charity event (formerly called Mingle Bells but renamed to honor the late Sharon Kimble, the chapter’s former executive director), offers a space for dealmakers to network and enjoy a holiday cocktail while fundraising for a cause.
At this past Kimble Bells, the ACG Cares team recognized the Michigan Hispanic Collaborative (MiHC) as its 2026 Charity of Choice, a partnership that allows ACG Detroit to support MiHC’s mission of helping first-generation students and young professionals navigate the complexities of college access, postsecondary success, and early career. MiHC provides support, resources, and career and educational opportunities within Michigan.
Thanks to its partnership with ACG Cares, the ACG Detroit chapter raised $12,600 for MiHC while highlighting the charity’s initiatives and its impact on the community. In total, initiatives from ACG Detroit, including a silent auction and matching donations from members, have raised a combined $87,250 for 14 nonprofits since 2014.

ACG DFW
Craft Beer Bonanza
Last May, ACG DFW held its Craft Beer Bonanza at On the Levee. This annual networking event joins M&A professionals from across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and offers a relaxed, engaging evening of conversation, connection, and craft beer tasting form local breweries.
The 2025 Craft Beer Bonanza benefitted Carson’s Crusaders Foundation, which was established in memory of Carson Richardson, who lost his battle with hepatoblastoma in 2010 at the age of seven. Carson’s parents, Ryan and Kimberly, along with his grandfather, George, established the foundation to provide assistance to families of children affected by pediatric cancer. Services include travel assistance, sibling support, educational programs, and financial support.
ACG New York
Women in Leadership Holiday Luncheon

ACG New York’s annual Women in Leadership Holiday Luncheon was held Dec. 4, 2025 at the Monterey Steakhouse. Providing attendees a discussion on how to advance and retain women in middle-market M&A careers, the luncheon featured speakers Caroline Young, founder and CEO of Craftsbury Consulting, and Erin Carroll, partner at BraddockMatthewsBarrett.
This year, the Luncheon chose to support Bottomless Closet, which empowers women throughout New York City to enter the workforce by offering access to professional attire, resume help, interview preparation, and workshops.
ACG Denver
Young Professionals Network Volunteer Project
Earlier this month, the ACG Denver chapter held its Young Professionals (YP) Network volunteer project initiative, contributing time, energy, and resources to support shelter animals awaiting adoption. YP members gathered at the city’s Project Helping Studio to build so-called Kynd Kits for dogs and cats, which include enrichment items and care packages for the animals.
Each year, the ACG Denver YP Network chooses a volunteer project to give back to the community. Past years’ initiatives include Food for Thought, which saw members packing more than 1,500 weekend food bags for students across Denver facing food insecurity, as well as Project C.U.R.E., for which members assembled medical supply kits to support hospitals in underserved communities.
ACG New Jersey

Power of Giving Breakfast
As part of ACG New Jersey’s Power of Giving tradition, the chapter held its Power of Giving breakfast on Dec. 9, 2025. In addition to a 2026 outlook from ITR Economics and networking opportunities amongst business leaders, the event offered a way for attendees to support Junior Achievement of New Jersey. The nonprofit prepares young people for success through offering knowledge and skills training for their economic and professional futures.
A Look Ahead: ACG Richmond
ACG Richmond Scholarship Program
This year, ACG Richmond will continue its tradition of supporting college students in their pursuit of studying business with its Scholarship Program, typically held the first Friday in May.
The merit-based Scholarship Program was first established in 1998 and has since awarded more than $500,000 to students across Central Virginia preparing for careers in business. Valedictorians, entrepreneurs, and driven students are selected based on high academic achievement, leadership ability, and active involvement in clubs, sports, the arts, and community service.
ACG Richmond collaborates with Partnership for the Future, Virginia’s largest privately funded college preparatory and workforce development program, and Reynolds Community College to identify outstanding students.
The 2026 Scholarship Program event will be held May 1 and will welcome scholarship recipients and their guests to celebrate their accomplishments, present awards, and hear from a keynote speaker.
