ACG Chapters Recognize Local Companies in Recent Awards Programs

This fall season, U.S. and international ACG chapters showcase fast-growing businesses in their local markets

ACG Chapters Recognize Local Companies in Recent Awards Programs

As the fall events season swung into action, so did a variety of ACG chapter awards programs. In recent months, awards events in the U.S. and Europe provided a way for chapters to recognize fast-growing companies or successful investors in their local markets.

Most recently, the ACG Austin/San Antonio chapter hosted its Awards and Toast to PE/VC Reception at the Westwood Country Club in Austin on Sept. 26.

Attendees offered champagne toasts to the winners of the Growth Awards. Red Oak Compliance Software won in the small (sub $10 million revenue) company category, while SEnergy, an electric-utility-focused engineering and consulting firm, picked up the medium company ($10 million to $25 million) award. IT services and consulting company Acumera won in the large company ($25 million to $100 million) category, while Austin-based private equity firm Blue Sage Capital took home the deal of the year award. The awards finalists are also listed on the event page.

The event hosted about 130 attendees across investors, local middle-market companies and M&A partners, and combined what was previously two different events.

“Behind every great innovation is a group of bold investors willing to believe in the impossible,” said Rachael Wyatt Aaron, president of the ACG ASA chapter and senior director of development for Venturi Private Wealth. “The Austin/San Antonio PE/VC community doesn’t just fund local entrepreneurs, they fuel the future, empowering visionaries to transform industries, build companies and make a full-circle positive impact on the community.”
