Meet the New ACG Global Board Members

ACG Global welcomed five new members to its board of directors on Sept. 1, the start of ACG’s 2020 fiscal year.

To get to know them, Middle Market Growth asked each new member about their experience with ACG and their priorities for their tenure on the board, as well as how they spend their time outside of work and a personal fact their colleagues might not yet know about them. (One new board member revealed that he was an extra in a hit 1980s teen comedy film.)

Below is an introduction to the five new members of the ACG Global board.

PAUL GAUTIER, MANAGING DIRECTOR, CARY STREET PARTNERS LLC

Local Chapter: ACG Central Texas

Paul Gautier joined ACG Central Texas in 2006 and has since served in various roles within the chapter, including president, board member, Awards Committee chair, and co-chair of the Sponsorship Committee for the Texas ACG Capital Connection, among others.

“Leading our chapter and state in ACG are the most rewarding efforts I have put forth in any business association,” Gautier says.

As an incoming member of the Global board, he plans to help ACG enhance its brand value and further increase its relevance among key stakeholders—members, sponsors, business and government leaders, and policymakers.

In addition to leading business development at Cary Street Partners and volunteering with ACG, Gautier and his wife live missionally at Community First! Village, a 51-acre master planned community where 80% of residents have been chronically homeless. “By day I’m at the office and by night I’m being a good neighbor alongside some wonderful, yet fragile, people,” he says. “I’m humbled to get to serve in this way.”

His goals as an ACG Global board member include building stronger connections among various chapters and sharing best practices, as well as bringing new innovative programs and ideas that have been explored and implemented at the chapter level to the broader global organization.
