Lincolnshire’s Barrier Acquires Two Fire Safety Businesses
Barrier Companies, a portfolio company of middle-market private equity firm Lincolnshire Management, announced the acquisition of two fire safety and compliance businesses, according to a press release. Barrier is investing in Fire Door Solutions and United Fire Door Inspection. Financial terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed. The businesses mark the second and third acquisitions for Barrier since Lincolnshire first invested in the company 18 months ago, marking the third platform investment for the firm’s Fund V.
Waud’s Ivy Rehab Merger Creates Largest Outpatient Pediatric Rehab Provider
Ivy Rehab will become the nation’s largest outpatient pediatric rehabilitation provider following its merger with the Theraplay Family of Companies, according to a press release. Ivy Rehab, backed by middle-market private equity firm Waud Capital Partners, is expanding its network to more than 420 clinics as a result of the Theraplay partnership. In a statement, Theraplay CEO Sandar Ryan pointed to “the opportunities for knowledge-sharing and collaboration” between the two companies as important to expanding their footprint and level of care.

Fort Point Backs Advertising Business Polar, Which Rebrands to Nova
Private equity firm Fort Point Capital has invested in advertising company Polar, which announced its rebrand to Nova in a press release. Nova specializes in social display advertising, optimizing advertising material for social media platforms. In a statement, Brooke Ablon, Fort Point Capital partner, said the investment in the business will enable Nova to “expand Social Display into a broader performance enhancement platform. It’s more important than ever that advertisers see clear returns from digital campaigns.” Nova CEO and founder Kunal Gupta said the funding from Fort Point will help the company expand its existing platform of products.
