On the Move: November & December 2025 Hires and Promotions
Advisory firms, law firms, lenders, and others announced new hires to round out 2025

Texas Capital Securities: Marcia Nelson
Texas Capital Securities announced this month that Marcia Nelson has joined the firm as Executive Director, Family Office Coverage—IB, Sales & Trading. Texas Capital Securities is the investment banking arm of financial institution Texas Capital. In her role, Nelson will focus on family office coverage, while producing invite-only conferences for family offices to support their networking and dealmaking endeavors within the M&A community, according to a LinkedIn post by the investment bank. She joins the firm from her previous position at Freedom Capital Markets. In addition to her role at Texas Capital Securities, Nelson is an ACG board member.
Cascadia Capital: Aarti Kapoor
Investment bank Cascadia Capital, which services middle-market clients, announced this month the hiring of Aarti Kapoor, who joins as a managing director in its Consumer, Retail & E-Commerce group. She brings 18 years of experience to the firm’s New York office, with specialization in consumer and retail private equity investing and advisory. Kapoor’s experience also focuses on health, wellness, and beauty services; restaurants; and pet products and services. She joins the firm from BMP Partners, a consumer and retail growth equity firm, where she served as a partner in its investment fund.
Separately, Cascadia also announced the hiring of Simeon Ketchum and Peter Purcell, who join the firm’s Capital Markets platform and support the launch of its Equity Capital Solutions practice. The product supports deal-by-deal capital formation. Ketchum and Purcell bring experience in private equity, M&A, and capital formation, and both join from Houlihan Lokey.

Ally Financial: Fred Yanni
Bringing more than 30 years of experience in commercial finance, Frederick “Fred” Yanni has joined Ally Financial’s Corporate Finance sponsor finance team, according to a recent announcement by the firm. In the role, Yanni will continue to focus on building and maintaining middle-market private equity sponsor relationships across the Northeast region. With Ally, he will support loan origination and structuring, as well as closing private credit transactions. Most recently, Yanni served at NXT Capital executing cash flow loan transactions for middle-market private equity sponsors.
D.A. Davidson: Anit Kumar
Investment firm D.A. Davidson announced this month it welcomed Anit Kumar to its Investment Banking group as a director, where he will support the firm’s Industrial Technology coverage. Bringing more than a decade of experience in industrials investment banking, Kumar advises on M&A, sales, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, and other transactions, most recently serving at Robert W. Baird. Kumar is based at D.A. Davidson’s Chicago office.
Ladenburg Thalmann: Meredith Sondler-Bazar
Ladenburg Thalmann, the broker-dealer subsidiary of Osaic, has announced Meredith Sondler-Bazar joined this month as Managing Director at its Healthcare Investment Banking Department. She joins from Canaccord Genuity. Sondler-Bazar brings more than two decades of investment banking experience advising life sciences businesses in both the private and public markets on capital markets strategies.
Configure Partners: David Fleming
Middle-market investment banking platform Configure Partners named David Fleming as its newest Managing Director based in New York City last month. Fleming brings nearly two decades of experience in debt financing and M&A, servicing private equity sponsors and private companies. He specializes in cross-border transactions between the U.S. and European markets. Most recently, Fleming served at Deloitte as a managing director, leading its U.S. Cross Border Debt & Capital Advisory business in New York.

ArentFox Schiff: Julia Zhu-Morelli
Law firm ArentFox Schiff welcomed Julia Zhu-Morelli this month, who joins the firm’s Corporate & Securities practice in Los Angeles as a partner. Zhu-Morelli advises U.S. and Chinese companies in complex corporate and transactional matters including M&A, joint ventures, private equity transactions, and other situations. In its announcement, ArentFox Schiff pointed to the changing dynamic between the U.S. and China that sees businesses engaging in cross-border transactions requiring greater legal guidance and support.
CrossCountry Consulting: Jim Clayton
Jim Clayton has been appointed to the Advisory Council of business advisory and technology solutions firm CrossCountry Consulting, a press release said this month. Clayton is a private equity leader who brings his experience to CrossCountry’s Private Equity practice, which offers services for the Office of the CFO across portfolio companies. Clayton previously co-led the Private Equity Industry Group of BDO.
Netley Capital: Robert Perry
Private investment firm Netley Capital has announced the addition of its newest co-founder and partner. Robert Perry has joined the firm, which specializes in private equity tertiary transactions. He most recently served as a senior principal at Cinven, where he led the firm’s mid-market fund series investments with a focus on the financial services sector. Currently, Netley Capital’s Tertiaries franchise manages $315 million in deployable capital dedicated to secondaries funds.

Portage Point Partners: Lance Carr
Blue chip advisory, consulting, investment banking, and financial services firm Portage Point Partners named Lance Carr as its newest managing director and Head of Valuations, a press release issued this month said. With nearly two decades of experience in valuations, M&A advisory, financial reporting, and tax compliance, Carr specializes in the business services, healthcare services, healthcare information technology, pharmaceuticals, and consumer spaces. He advises corporates, PE investors and other sponsors throughout the deal lifecycle. He most recently served as a managing director a Houlihan Lokey where he helped shape the firm’s Financial and Valuation Advisory Practice.
Greenberg Traurig: Francesco Castaldi
Law firm Greenberg Traurig is expanding its Private Equity Practice with the hiring of Francesco Castaldi. The addition, announced earlier this month, sees Castaldi join as a shareholder at its Chicago office. He focuses his practice on negotiating and structuring complex business transactions including M&A, divestitures, PE investments, and more. Castaldi joins from Kirkland & Ellis, according to a press release.
White & Case: Joshua Teahen
Joshua Teahen is the newest partner at global law firm White & Case’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Teahen joins the firm’s Global Energy Industry Group and Global Private Capital Industry Group and will advise public and private companies, as well as private equity sponsors, on strategic transactions with a focus on the energy and infrastructure spaces.
