Private equity firms, law firms and investment banks announced new hires and promotions this month

Alvarez & Marsal: Barry Gold, Preston Parker and Jonathan Ross

Alvarez & Marsal announced several new hires this month, including the hiring of Preston Parker as Managing Director and Leader of A&M’s new Corporate Transactions Group (CTG). Parker comes from KPMG where he served as Global Leader for its Deal Advisory and Strategy Integration & Separation practice. His addition coincides with the formal launch of the CTG, which combines corporate M&A services with financial and accounting offerings.

Separately, the firm also announced the addition of Barry Gold, who joins the firm as a managing director in its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) group. Gold brings his experience in infrastructure to A&M; he has more than three decades of experience in infrastructure private equity investing, debt financing and financial advisory.

Finally, A&M also announced the appointment of Jonathan Ross as a managing director, also within its PEPI group. Ross will focus on supporting PE clients with technology, operations and financial M&A integrations. He joins from West Monroe Partners, where he most recently served as Managing Director for M&A—Merger Carveout Services.

Norton Rose Fulbright: Kyle Gann

Kyle Gann is the newest member of Norton Rose Fulbright’s Chicago office, the global law firm announced this month. The corporate lawyer comes to the firm as a partner in its business practice group and member of its transactional and regulatory insurance team. He brings experience advising companies across their lifecycle, including in insurance brokerage M&A. Gann joins the firm from Winston & Strawn, according to a press release.

Prairie Capital Advisors: Trevor Dursky, Christopher Silvetti and Nick Viner

This month, Prairie Capital Advisors, a middle-market investment bank, announced three promotions. Trevor Dursky has been promoted to vice president, while Christopher Silvetti and Nick Viner have been promoted to director.

Nick Viner

Dursky came to Prairie in 2023 and is part of its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) practice, providing ESOP valuation services to trustees and fiduciaries. Silvetti, who joined the firm in 2018, and Viner, who joined in 2020, both serve within Prairie’s ESOP advisory practice, advising middle-market companies on ESOP corporate valuations and other investment banking matters.

Gainline Capital Partners: Rob Dellinger and Robert Witman

Middle-market private equity firm Gainline Capital Partners has announced two promotions this month. Rob Dellinger has been promoted to partner. He joined the firm in 2022 and supports the firm’s sourcing, execution and management of investments. Robert Witman has been promoted to vice president. He came to the firm in 2021 and specializes in deal execution. “Rob and Robert have each demonstrated outstanding judgment, drive, and a commitment to the firm’s values and long-term vision,” Allan Weinstein, Managing Partner at Gainline, said in a statement.

Paul Hastings: Christopher Richardson

Law firm Paul Hastings LLP expanded its global Energy and Infrastructure practice this month with the hiring of Christopher Richardson as a partner at its Houston office. Richardson joins the firm with more than 20 years of experience in energy and infrastructure transactions. Most recently, he served as CEO of 8 Rivers Capital. At Paul Hastings he will focus on strategic joint ventures, project development and financing, M&A, corporate matters and commercial contracts.

Brown Gibbons Lang & Company: Cael Pulitzer

Brown Gibbons Lang & Company, an investment bank and financial advisory firm, announced this month the hiring of Cael Pulitzer as a managing director within its Industrials vertical. At the firm Pulitzer will focus on the packaging sector specifically. He holds 15 years of experience in M&A advisory, strategic advisory and capital raising transactions. Most recently, he served at BlackArch Partners, where he also led its Packaging practice.

Stout: Eddie Krule

Eddie Krule is the newest addition to Stout’s Investment Banking group, a recent announcement said. As Managing Director, Krule joins to advise family-owned businesses and private equity firms transacting in the consumer sector, with a ion e-commerce and branded consumer products. He previously served as a managing director within Lincoln International’s Consumer group.

Configure Partners: Mark Birkett

Investment bank Configure Partners announced the addition of Mark Birkett this month. Birkett joins as a managing director based in Chicago, bringing more than two decades of experience to support private equity and middle-market borrowers. He joins Configure Partners from Hilco Corporate Finance where he served as a senior managing director. According to an announcement, Birkett is Configure’s first banker hiring in Chicago.

Closed Loop Partners: Daniel Phan

Investment firm Closed Loop Partners announced this month the hiring of Daniel Phan as managing director and private equity co-head. He joins the firm’s asset management business, Closed Loop Capital Management, from Aterian Investment Partners where he served as managing director. In his role, Phan will co-lead Closed Loop’s private equity investment strategy alongside the firm’s founder and CEO Ron Gonen as well as managing director and private equity co-head Jackson Pei.
