Private equity firms, law firms, advisors and others announce new hires and promotions
Stout: Ray Reaves
Ray Reaves has joined Stout as a director in the Healthcare practice of Stout’s Investment Banking group, an announcement sent to Middle Market Growth said. He joins the firm with more than 12 years of experience in investment banking and corporate development. Prior to Stout, Reaves worked in corporate development and global M&A for General Motors. At Stout he will focus on healthcare services, bringing his experience in advising healthcare providers.
Lazard Middle Market: Doug Lawson
Lazard Middle Market, a subsidiary of financial advisory and asset management firm Lazard, announced Doug Lawson has been hired as a managing director. He will serve as head of Packaging within the Industrials Group and will be based in Chicago. In a press release, Lazard said Lawson has extensive experience advising on middle-market M&A deals within the packaging sector.
Dunes Point Capital: Jennifer Rogg
Private investment firm Dunes Point Capital announced this month the appointment of Jennifer Rogg as its new head of Investor Relations, according to a press release. Rogg will oversee all investor relations strategy and communications, bringing 23 years of experience in middle-market private equity capital raising and investor relations to the firm. She most recently served as managing principal and head of Investor Relations at Odyssey Partners.
Comvest Partners: Eric Shields
Comvest Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, said this month that Eric Shields has joined as a principal within its private equity group. Shields will lead sourcing, evaluating, executing and monitoring private equity investments. The hiring is a re-welcoming of Shields to Comvest, as he had been with the firm from 2016 to 2021, most recently as a vice president. He holds more than a decade of middle-market private equity experience across a variety of sectors, the announcement noted.
Latham & Watkins: Matthew Cohn
Matthew Cohn has joined the Boston office of Latham & Watkins LLP as a partner in its Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Practice, according to a press release this month. The announcement noted Cohn represents large and middle-market private equity funds, growth funds, and public and private companies in a variety of cases, including M&A, leveraged buyouts and growth equity investments. He joins the firm from Kirkland & Ellis.
Delos Capital: Ari Lefkovits and Andrew Schweibold
Delos Capital has announced two hires to lead its newly-formed financial advisory group. Ari Lefkovits and Andrew Schweibold joined the firm as managing partners alongside existing managing partner Matt Constantino. Lefkovits joins Delos from Lazard, where he served a managing director. In a joint statement, Constantinno and Schweibold said they are “honored” for Lefkovits to join Delos, noting he will augment the firm’s ability to support clients’ complex needs.
Star Mountain Capital: Curtis Glovier
Curtis Glovier is joining Star Mountain Capital from Fortress Investment Group, a recent announcement noted. Star Mountain is an employee-owned specialized investment firm focused on the lower middle-market. Glovier is joining as managing director and Strategic Portfolio Officer. He had previously served Star Mountain as a senior advisor. He brings more than 30 years of alternative investment experience to the firm across private credit, private equity, investment banking and other areas of expertise.
Altamont Capital Partners: Brad Fischtrom
Brad Fischtrom is joining private investment firm Altamont Capital Partners as an operating partner, a press release recently said. Fischtrom will strategically advise on investments within property and casualty insurance. He brings more than 20 years of experience in P&C insurance. He most recently served as chief operating officer at Ledger Investing, where he focused on building a digital marketplace for insurance-linked securities, the press release said.
Cotton Creek Capital: Anil Ali
Anil Ali has been promoted to senior associate at lower middle-market private equity firm Cotton Creek Capital, according to an announcement made this month. Ali has been with the firm since 2012 and leads evaluation and execution of investment opportunities. The firm is currently investing its latest fund, Cotton Creek Capital Partners II., L.P., which closed with about $160 million in capital commitments.
