Private equity firms, investment banks and law firms announced new hires and promotions this month

Ankura Capital Advisors: Jeffrey Goodman

Ankura Capital Advisors announced this month that Jeffrey Goodman has joined its team as a managing director. According to an announcement from the firm, Goodman brings more than 17 years of investment banking experience with a focus on technology and IT infrastructure. He specializes in M&A advisory, capital raising and strategic planning. Goodman is also a member of the ACG Tennessee chapter.

Comvest Private Equity: Alex Ray, Matt Kunz and Stephanie Tack

Three individuals at Comvest Private Equity have been promoted, including a member of ACG South Florida. Alex Ray has been promoted to Managing Director, Business Development. Ray, who is an ACG South Florida member, joined Comvest in 2022 as Director of Business Development. Meanwhile Matt Kunz has been promoted to Partner, having joined the firm in 2021 as a Principal. Finally, Stephanie Tack was named as the firm’s newest Senior Associate, Business Development; she joined the firm in 2012 as an Associate.

Yellow Wood Partners: Ammu Mandalap

Consumer-focused private equity firm Yellow Wood Partners announced the promotion of Ammu Mandalap from vice president to principal this month. She holds more than eight years of experience in private equity and investment banking, and has been with Yellow Wood since 2019. As a principal, Mandalap will expand her role working with portfolio companies and support the firm’s strategic sourcing initiatives.

Centri Business Consulting: Andrew Jervis and Elad Yagur

Centri Business Consulting announced two promotions this month. Andrew Jervis has been promoted to Vice President of Finance, while Elad Yagur was promoted to Vice President of Information Security. Jervis has been with Centri since 2021, first joining as its Corporate Controller. He holds more than 13 years of experience in audit, corporate finance and financial reporting. Yagur also joined Centri in 2021 as Director of Information Technology. He holds more than two decades of IT experience and will support the execution of Centri’s technology infrastructure strategy.

Norton Rose Fulbright: Adam Arnett

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright announced the hiring of Adam Arnett, who joins the firm’s Chicago office as its U.S. Co-Head of Private Equity. He will serve alongside Ward Atterbury, who is also Global Head of Private Equity. Arnett specializes in representing private equity sponsors in complex transactions, as well as portfolio companies. His practice targets middle-market M&A. Arnett joins Norton Rose Fulbright from Mayer Brown.

Carr’s Hill Partners: Amy Cohen and Devin Lockett
Devin Lockett

Lower middle-market private equity firm Carr’s Hill Partners has welcomed Amy Cohen, CPA and Devin Lockett as its newest team members. Cohen joins as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. She most recently served as CFO at PE-backed RestorixHealth. Lockett joins the firm as an Associate and comes to Carr’s Hill from Great Hill Partners. His expertise is in private equity and investment banking.

Freshfields: Matthew Goulding

Law firm Freshfields announced the opening of its Boston office this month, with Matthew Goulding hired to lead the new location. As Freshfields’ Private Capital M&A partner, Goulding brings more than two decades of experience in private equity transactions, advising financial sponsors and strategic acquirers, on leveraged buyouts, M&A, carve-outs, take-privates, joint ventures and other transactions.

Berkshire Partners: Brian Brickhouse

Specialist investor Berkshire Partners has announced the addition of Brian Brickhouse as its Advisory Director to support its industrials sector team. According to a press release, Brickhouse holds 37 years of experience in the global electrical industry, particularly in the areas of data centers, commercial construction, industrial and utility. That experience will support Berkshire’s existing portfolio companies in the industrials space. He joins the firm from Eaton, where he served as President, Electrical Sector Americas.

Stellex Capital Management: Jason LaDuke

Jason LaDuke has joined Stellex Capital Management, a middle-market private equity firm, as Head of Portfolio Operations. An announcement by the firm this week said LaDuke’s experience focuses on leading complex turnarounds and optimizing operations for middle-market portfolio companies. He most recently served as a senior team member on the Portfolio Operations Team of Platinum equity, where he led operating committees responsible for governance, strategic direction and operational performance of portfolio companies.

JLL Partners: Dan Di Piazza and Alex Kondziolka

Dan Di Piazza and Alex Kondziolka have been promoted at middle-market private equity firm JLL Partners, based in New York. JLL targets the healthcare, aerospace and defense, and business services industries. Di Piazza, who joined the firm in 2019 as vice president with a focus on healthcare investments, has been promoted to Managing Director. Kondziolka has been with JLL since 2021 and has been promoted from vice president to Principal, also focused on healthcare investing.
