On the Move: April 2026 Hires and Promotions

Phil Porter, Jr.
Heritage Capital Group: Phil Porter Jr.

Phil Porter Jr. has joined investment banking and financial advisory firm Heritage Capital Group, a recent press release said. Heritage services middle-market businesses across the U.S. and globally. Porter Jr. joins the firm as a principal within its Jacksonville, FL office, bringing his experience as an automotive executive to facilitate and evaluate potential transactions within the automotive industry. He most recently led a team of more than 100 employees at Subaru of Jacksonville.

H.I.G. Capital: Brian Schwartz and Doug Berman

Brian Schwartz has been named chief executive officer of global alternative investment firm H.I.G. Capital, according to an April press release. Schwartz was promoted to the role of CEO after serving as its co-president. He succeeds cofounder Sami Mnaymneh, who will transition from CEO to executive chairman with cofounder Tony Tamer. H.I.G. announced Schwartz’s promotion in tandem with announcing that its Head of U.S. Private Equity Doug Beman has been promoted to co-president, serving alongside existing Co-President Rick Rosen.

Winston & Strawn LLP: Robert Lee Discher

Law firm Winston & Strawn announced in April that Robert Lee Discher is its newest partner within the Finance Practice of its Transactions Department in Chicago. In the role, Discher will represent corporate borrowers and private equity sponsors in complex business transactions. His practice focuses on debt finance, the announcement noted. Winston & Strawn said in its announcement that Discher’s addition builds upon the firm’s expansion in Chicago, which includes two partner additions announced last February.

InTandem Capital Partners: Elliot Cooperstone, Brad Coppens, and Chris Reef

InTandem Capital Partners, an investment firm focused on healthcare services businesses in the lower-middle market, announced several new leadership appointments. They include the promotion of founder Elliot Cooperstone to chief executive officer and managing partner. Senior partner Brad Coppens has been promoted to president and managing partner, while operating partner Chris Reef was promoted to partner.

In addition to the leadership promotions, InTandem announced several additional promotions and new hires. They include the promotion of Lauren Mangino to managing director, Jackson Monnin to vice president, and Harrison Baker to senior associate, while Aaron Newman was named as the firm’s newest hire, joining as a principal.

Infinedi Partners: Rohan Arora

Rohan Arora has joined private equity firm Infinedi Partners as principal, a recent announcement said. Arora joins the firm’s senior leadership team, and in his role will focus on sourcing, leading, growing, and exiting investments for Infinedi. Arora joins the firm from H.I.G. Capital, where he served as senior vice president within the private equity vertical. There, he identified, structured, executed, and financed investment opportunities.

SK Capital Partners: Jason Grapski

Private investment firm SK Capital Partners, which focuses on the material sciences, specialty ingredients, and life sciences sectors, announced in April that Jason Grapski has joined as managing director, portfolio excellence. The role will see Grapski lead SK Capital’s approach to portfolio company improvement, focusing on the realization of strategic, operational, and financial objectives within each business. He joins the firm from Berkshire Partners, where he served as an operating partner in its portfolio support group.

McDermott Will & Schulte: Lindsay Barca

Lindsay Barca was named the newest restructuring partner to join law firm McDermott Will & Schulte, bringing experience representing both creditor groups and debtors in complex restructuring and contested Chapter 11 cases. In its announcement, McDermott Will & Schulte said Barca’s addition to the firm comes amid increasing private equity portfolio company refinancings. Her experience representing both sides is a valuable asset to the private equity, finance, and M&A teams she represents, the firm added.

SQ Capital: Jonathan Hamilton

SQ Capital, a private equity secondaries firm focused on the middle market in the U.S. and Europe, has announced the hiring of Jonathan Hamilton as managing director. In its announcement sent to ACG Insights, SQ Capital said that Hamilton will help lead the firm’s evaluation and execution of investment opportunities. He comes to the firm after spending 11 years at Blackstone, most recently serving as managing director in Blackstone GP Stakes. SQ Capital launched in January 2025.
