On the Move: Recent Investment Banking Hires and Promotions

Baird: Ro Bhandari and Ben Port
Ro Bhandari and Ben Port have joined Baird as managing directors in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group.
Bhandari is focusing on medical technology and Port is covering provider services.
The duo is based in New York. Bhandari was previously at William Blair as a partner, managing director and co-head of MedTech Investment Banking. Port’s previous role was at Moelis, where he was a managing director and head of Healthcare Services M&A.
William Blair: Jerome Wallace and Brian Williams
William Blair hired Jerome Wallace and Brian Williams to lead its Fund Placement and Advisory practice. Both will be based in New York as managing directors and co-heads of the Private Capital Advisory group along with Mike Custar, who leads the firm’s Secondary Advisory practice. Wallace and Williams previously worked together for 13 years at Credit Suisse, where they served as managing directors and co-heads of Americas distribution in the bank’s Private Fund Group.
Raymond James: Dave Dolan, Eddie Nie and Haider Arshad
Raymond James added three senior bankers to its Technology & Services Investment Banking practice. Managing directors Dave Dolan and Eddie Nie, as well as vice president Haider Arshad, joined the bank from DC Advisory. All three are based in Raymond James’ Washington, D.C. office. Dolan was previously a managing director and executive committee member at DC Advisory, where Nie and Arshad also worked for many years.
Houlihan Lokey: Rob Kordas
Houlihan Lokey appointed Rob Kordas as a managing director in its industrials group. Kordas is based in Chicago and will lead coverage of the energy field services and equipment sector. Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Kordas spent 15 years at RBC Capital Markets, most recently as a managing director and head of Energy Services & Equipment. Before RBC, he covered industrials at Moelis & Co.
Brown Gibbons Lang & Company: Peter Finn
Brown Gibbons Lang & Company appointed Peter Finn as a managing director to lead its industrial technology investment banking team. He was previously a managing director at TD Cowen, leading the industrial technology practice there. Finn also worked at several other investment banks in the past, including Nomura, Macquarie, FBR & Co., Legacy Partners and Credit Suisse.
Clearsight Advisors: Matt Brom and Stephen Shankman
Clearsight Advisors hired Matt Brom and Stephen Shankman as managing directors. Brom will lead the firm’s Government Services, Defense and Public Sector Technology Practice, while Shankman will oversee the Information Services Practice. Brom previously spent 15 years at Truist Securities and its predecessor SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, where he helped build and lead the bank’s aerospace, defense and government services practice. Shankman joined from TMT M&A Advisory firm JEGI CLARITY and has also worked at Marlin & Associates and in equity research.
Oppenheimer & Co.: Rupert Sandler
Oppenheimer & Co. added Rupert Sadler as a managing director in the firm’s Technology Investment Banking Group. He previously served as a managing director at Houlihan Lokey in its Global Technology Group. He has also overseen European technology investment banking at JPMorgan, where he held other roles, including managing director on the technology team. In his previous roles, he advised on public and private capital raises for companies in the U.S., U.K., Europe and Asia.
Harris Williams: Michael Kim
Michael Kim has joined Harris Williams as a managing director and co-head of the Technology Group. He is based in San Francisco and co-leads the team along with managing director Thierry Monjauze. Prior to joining Harris Williams, Kim was the head of software investment banking at LionTree. He has also held a similar role at Piper Sandler, as well as a variety of tech-focused advisory roles at Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley.
Cascadia Capital: Ron Rivera
Cascadia Capital tapped Ron Rivera as a managing director in its software/technology group. Rivera is based in Atlanta and focuses on providing M&A and corporate finance advisory services to companies in the enterprise software, mobility/automotive technology and services, and tech-enabled services sectors. Prior to Cascadia, Rivera was a partner at technology investment bank Drake Star Partners. Before Drake Star, he served as the managing director and head of U.S. TMT at Deloitte Corporate Finance.
Palm Tree LLC: Tracy Albert and David Barnes
Palm Tree LLC brought on Tracy Albert as vice chairman of investment banking and David Barnes as head of mergers and acquisitions. The duo previously held senior roles at JD Merit and Co., where Albert was a vice chairman and Barnes was a senior managing director. They both held other senior roles at a variety of investment banks in the past, with both having worked at Houlihan Lokey. Albert also served as head of the western region at Deloitte Corporate Finance, while Barnes was head of West Coast financial sponsor coverage at Cowen & Co.
