On April 9, the SEC announced that Marc Wyatt will serve as acting director of the agency’s Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations. He succeeds Andrew Bowden, who announced he will be leaving the SEC at the end of April to rejoin the private sector.
Earlier this year, Wyatt was a keynote speaker at ACG’s 2015 Middle-Market Public Policy Summit, where he gave his insight regarding OCIE and described his view of the office. In addition, last year Wyatt participated in an ACG webinar titled “OCIE Exam Issues for Middle-Market Private Equity Funds.”
“We recognize the experience Marc brings to the position and look forward to working with him to address issues such as consistency of OCIE examinations among regional offices,” said Richard Jaffe, incoming ACG Global chairman.
