The challenges and opportunities for business in North Dakota’s Bakken shale formation were addressed during a two-part series from ACG Minnesota featuring industry experts and experienced investors.
Ron Ness, president of the North Dakota Petroleum Council, spoke at the first installment of the series in March, sharing with attendees his perspective on the economic development, impact and opportunities spurred by increased production levels of the region’s oil fields.
The address drew nearly 250 attendees, a record-setting number for an ACG Minnesota luncheon, held at the Marquette Hotel in downtown Minneapolis.
Local dealmakers in April shared their experiences in building and growing businesses in the Bakken region during part two of the series. Their discussion focused on the opportunities they see in the area, as well as challenges posed to business and how ACG members can learn from their experiences.
The two-part program was part of ACG Minnesota’s monthly luncheon series, designed to educate members on the latest business, manufacturing and transportation developments and growth opportunities in the Midwest.
