The Small Business Investor Alliance on Wednesday named NewSpring Capital, an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth’s Private Equity Task Force, as a Small Business Investment Company of the Year for 2015.
SBIA recognized NewSpring Capital in the Small Fund category and named Monroe Capital Partners Fund LP the SBIC Company of the Year in the Big Fund segment.
The organization commended both firms for advancing the mission of the SBIC program, including helping small businesses access growth capital, and plans to recognize them during a ceremony held on May 8 as part of the annual National Small Business Week.
“We have always been driven by our passion to help business owners achieve their dreams, and the Small Business Administration’s SBIC program is built on these same principles, making it a perfect match for our firm,” said Michael DiPiano, managing general partner of NewSpring Capital, responding to the announcement.
