The House Financial Services Committee begins a series of hearings today to address the impact of financial legislation passed five years ago as part of the Dodd-Frank Act.
In advance of the hearings, ACG issued a press release, which included a statement from the association’s president and CEO, Gary LaBranche, about the importance of assessing the efficacy of the law.
“ACG believes that examining the effects of Dodd-Frank is critical to understanding its impact on the economy and the middle market,” LaBranche said.
The July 9 hearing, titled “Dodd-Frank Five Years Later: Are We More Stable?” will be followed by a second hearing on July 28; a third hearing will be held on a date not yet announced.
