The Jordan Company’s Youming Ye has completed his service as chairman of ACG China after a five-year term. As a charter member, Ye was instrumental in establishing ACG’s presence in China.
“ACG offers sincerest thanks for Youming Ye’s years of leadership, hard work and commitment. His vision and wisdom led the way, and guided the development of ACG’s first chapter in the world’s second largest economy,” said Gary A. LaBranche, FASAE, CAE, president and CEO of ACG Global. “His legacy and name will be enshrined in ACG history.”
ACG China was established in 2009 as the organization’s first chapter in Asia, operating in Shanghai. ACG Hong Kong was launched in 2015.
Ye has passed the torch of ACG China leadership to Barry Chen, managing director and partner in charge of InterChina Partners, a leading strategy and corporate finance advisory firm. He began his five-year term in January.
“There is a Chinese saying, ‘the one before planted the tree, and the one after will enjoy the shade,'” Chen said. “I think this captures the very essence of the difficult undertaking and impressive contribution Youming has made to ACG and the Chinese business community. I look forward to honoring his legacy and building on his success to expand ACG China.”
